Progroup welcomes new apprentices and students – this year's graduates also stay loyal to the company

This year 14 apprentices and one student on a dual studies programme are starting their training at Progroup at seven sites across Germany. During the introductory week at the Progroup site in Landau, Germany, they had the opportunity to get to know their new employer better.
In Germany, Progroup is currently training 34 apprentices and four students in commercial and industrial professions across all year groups. The company attaches great importance to offering them good long-term prospects after they complete their training as well.

The apprentices and students at Progroup traditionally start their working life with an informative week to welcome them. As well as getting a first impression of their new working environment, they also have the opportunity to get to know each other better while doing various activities. This year’s schedule included an art initiative as well as team-building during a joint climbing exercise.

The two Board members Maximilian Heindl (Chief Development Officer) and Dr. Volker Metz (Chief Financial Officer) welcomed their new colleagues on behalf of the whole Executive Board. After starting off together in Landau, the apprenticeships will begin at Progroup’s seven sites in Germany.

Qualified young talent for a secure future

As a family company, Progroup very much thinks about the next generations. An important aspect of this is to offer young people the best possible training. This is why attractive prospects for a long-term future in the company are created.

“Progroup wants to remain a real driver of innovation in the future and shape the market by adopting new approaches. Training qualified, young employees and also embracing their ideas is extremely worthwhile. We are delighted to be able to welcome the new colleagues to the team,” says Maximilian Heindl.

Employer with a future and responsibility

As a fast-growing company, Progroup is used to having to compete for skilled workers and young talent in the labour market. Over the period from 2015 to 2025, the intention is to create a total of more than 500 new jobs across the company. This is why it is important to Progroup to lay the foundations for persuading young talent to stay with the company after they complete their training:

“We offer our employees high-tech jobs, state-of-the-art plants, a pleasant working environment and a unifying corporate culture in which cooperation, team spirit and trust are embraced,” stresses Maximilian Heindl. “We are thrilled that this year this has been rewarded by taking on a very large proportion of outstandingly qualified skilled workers.”

The nine members of the 2020 graduate class are also nearly all staying with the company or continuing their training as part of a dual studies programme with Progroup.
