Progroup donates 25,000 euros for projects in the Südliche Weinstraße district

Progroup is donating 25,000 euros for the benefit of the Südliche Weinstraße district and is thus supporting projects in the Silz Wildlife Park. COVID-19 means that many families are currently choosing to holiday at home. This institution particularly helps parents and their children to organise their holidays and teaches them all about nature in a playful way. The donation was handed over at the park by Jürgen Heindl (Chief Executive Officer of Progroup) and Maximilian Heindl (Chief Development Officer and member of the Board of Progroup) to district administrator Dietmar Seefeldt and Daniel Kraus (Manager Wildlife Park).

Jürgen Heindl (Vorstandsvorsitzender von Progroup) und Maximilian Heindl (Mitglied des Vorstands und Chief Development Officer) haben die Spende an Landrat Dietmar Seefeldt und Daniel Kraus (Geschäftsführer Wild- und Wanderpark) vor Ort übergeben.

Progroup attaches great importance to thinking and acting sustainably and with a long-term view. Part of the company’s philosophy is to be a good neighbour to the people in the region. This is why the family-run company specifically supports projects involving the environment as well as supporting children and young people.

“Particularly for children and young people, the restrictions caused by the coronavirus pandemic have been and still are significant, including during the school holidays. It is all the more important to offer attractive leisure options. We are very happy to support the projects at the Wildlife Park for the Südliche Weinstraße district which focus on the aspects of nature and community,” says Jürgen Heindl.

Progroup’s donation will help among other things to fund day trips for children for one week, community-enhancing initiatives for parents and children, and a tree-planting scheme at the Wildlife Park.

“As the father of a daughter, I know how important it is to offer high-quality educational opportunities for young families. We were persuaded by the concept of utilising the Wildlife Park as a place for extracurricular learning. It’s great that we are able to do our bit to help this model approach,” says Maximilian Heindl.

District administrator Dietmar Seefeldt stresses the importance of regional cohesion: “The coronavirus pandemic is still affecting us. During these challenging times, the importance of having mutual support from regional stakeholders in business and society cannot be overestimated. With its generous donation, Progroup is making a valuable contribution to educational work in the Südliche Weinstraße district.”
