Following shutdown: PM3 resumes production

Sandersdorf-Brehna, 23 June 2021 – Progroup’s paper factory PM3 has resumed the production of containerboard. As a result of damage in the stock preparation section, the PM3 paper factory in Sandersdorf-Brehna was temporarily shut down this month for a repair to be carried out. “The machine has successfully been started up. We are now working hard to get the capacity back up to the high level of previous months,” says Maximilian Heindl, Chief Development Officer and member of the Board of Progroup.

Progroup Paper Mill PM3

Since August 2020, Progroup has been manufacturing containerboard in Sandersdorf-Brehna on one of the world’s most modern and powerful paper machines. In January, PM3 achieved the milestone of 50,000 manufactured tonnes for the first time and was able to beat this plant record again in subsequent months. However, in June the production volume is expected to be 20,000 to 25,000 tonnes lower due to repair work that was urgently needed.
